FEMM and LuaScript

I am trying to do an electrostatic sim in FEMM, and I'm hitting some walls.
I know how to get there from FEMM itself, but I will have to script this, and the examples and docs for electrostatics in Luascript are shall we say.... Thin?
I've done a full parametric sim of a ferrite inductor in Lua, but that really doesn't help much.

Is there someone here who has some experience I can borrow?

I can make the script available, it's too long to post here but there's nothing proprietary in it.
