I wonder if "Huddlestone" is from the African resident family of that name
in times past.

Novel for a kids book, perhaps not big enough. Black marks add authenticity
but also looks like somewhere you would not like black marks if from
exhaust.
Would not be maneuverable enough to trim trees. And the need to make sharp
branches if they are thinking of trimming trees.
Only looked at the first link given.

See my reply to Allen.
Your comments are good but missing a major point - in somewhat the same way
as Watson does in the *Sherlock Holmes & Watson camping trip joke
<https://www.sunnyskyz.com/funny-jokes/20/Sherlock-Holmes-and-Dr-Watson-Go-Camping>*
.

Astoundingly, in 2002 a university research project (allegedly) found that
this was considered to possibly be the world's funniest joke :-(.
Assuredly, it's not :-)

*Agh!!! - Scientists close in on world's funniest joke

I can't see the Facebook post. The hard vertical line

seems to assure a poorly photoshopped photo.
Assurance fails :-).
It's an unaltered photo (taken by me) of a real world 3D scene.
The green line is due to a dark green building immediately behind the
'airship'.

There is some reason that I posted this. A certain reaction was sought. So
far it has not been closely approached.

The scene is as the eye sees it - the 'airship' hangs in the air and
'bobbles' slightly in the breeze.

These are essentially "out of camera" with at most adjustments to colour
balance, light levels, sharpening etc.
Photos with file name of form DSC0xxxx`11180513`.jpg are unmodified but
have been compressed at JPG90 level (essentially unchanged visually but
about 40% of original file size).
Photos with filename of form DSC0xxxx`11180513`*_RP Blimp*.jpg ie added
text, have been modified as above for appearance only.

The building is easily visible in some of the other pictures, DSC02867, DSC02874, and DSC02875.

It reminds me of the airship in the movie The Mummy Returns. The boat is a bit smaller.

Yes. It is not hard up against the 'airship'.
It's relationship, if any, to the 'airship' is not obvious from any
intended viewing angle.

I looked for mummy related references but did not find any at a quick
look. I'll try again with the correct name.

Taking the boat to be about 20 feet long.
Balloon diameter is similar to length of boat and balloon length say twice
that.

If balloon was cylinder volume would be 3.14 * 10^2 * 40 ~=
12,500 cu ft.
Call it 10,000 cu ft to allow for taper.

Using standard figure for hydrogen of 68l b/1,000 cu ft gives a lift of 680
lb.
Grossly undersized indeed.

I did similarly.
I got a somewhat lower figure, but ...

Using standard figure for hydrogen
... they mentioned Helium on the "instruction" sign - so somewhat less
again ...

of 68l b/1,000 cu ft gives a lift of 680

lb.Grossly undersized indeed.
Indeed.
BUT it's floating there in front of people's eyes. And it seems that most
people accept it at face value.
What you can see with your eyes must be real. Right?

I wen for a not-perhaps-strictly-out-of-bounds clamber around the outside
of a tethered bush over a not too too high drop to walk out on a small
jetty provided to see if one could see the magic used.
One could :-).
But 99.9% plus of the visitors never will.

Photos of magic by email offline on request (reasonably borimg).

Given that this is a real physical object, I'm assuming the "magic" is that
the tether "ropes" are actually rigid.

I don't know what the recent refernces to TSS are about.
Blackadder was mentioned.
