Can someone remind me which were the PIC32's to avoid... wasn't it the
PIC32MZ...EC... line?

that's how I think about them.

You'll notice that the pic32mz ec is marked nrnd.
The pic32mz ef is a great part.

Hi Neil,


Yes, the PIC32MZ...EC is very damaged. I think Microchip tries to deny
it ever existed.

The new PIC32MZ...EF has most (not all) of the issues fixed with a lower
price.

There are a few versions capable of running at 250 MHz and newer devices
have up to 8 MiB of DRAM on-chip.

Thanks Isaac.

I'm using a PIC32MX part now and need a lot more RAM, so I'm looking at
the MZ parts, to avoid having to squeeze an external RAM chip on there..

Depending on your definition of a lot, there is a MZ DA part with in
package ddr....
